I think the title says it all. This is my first dish of the month. I wanted to make some desserts, but getting out of work at 6pm and to get up at 3am to go back doesn't leave too much time for me tonight. I wanted to make something simple, easy to clean up after, and still delicious. Now maybe this wouldn't be good for everyone but this was perfect for me. I love brown and wild rice, and i love peas. If I had sugar snap peas left this would have been so much better, But Oh well regular peas it is!
Literally cooked the brown and wild rice, cooked peas, drained, mixed together. Added butter and some seasoning topped with some shredded Parmesan cheese and voila dinner was served. Only had 2 pots, one plate, one fork, and one spoon to wash. That might seem like a lot but for me that was a super simple night!!! Tomorrow I get to spend more time at home so I am hoping to try some new recipes or at least one new recipe. Mom mailed me some recipes from an old magazine that she thought I would like and they look superb! I think I enjoy baking more than cooking, so I just need to try to keep the balance on here and not load on up all sweets, although everyone in the office is loving all the baking!
Wilton is going to love me, with all of the shopping I have been mentally planning for cake decorating supplies!
Enjoy!
