A Halloween Breakfast

Once in awhile I can be creative, it may not happen often but I get there! I was watching Food Network, and the show Diners, Dives, and Drive-Ins I think it is called was on. And at the Blue Moon Cafe they whipped up some Captain Crunch French Toast. Now they don't give you the recipe but you can see what they were using and see how it came out, and I was sold. But since I live no where near their location, I had to figure this one out on my own. And best part, since I have never had theirs I wouldn't know if mine wasn't good enough either :) So we start out with some Captain Crunch cereal

Place it in a ziploc bag and pound it down!! (Great way to release some anger!!)

Now you need to make the gooey mixture as I like to call it, some buttermilk, egg, cinnamon and sugar, and stir that up real well.

Now take your bread, whatever kind of bread you prefer and dip it in the mixture and then dip that into the captain crunch that we already smashed down into crumbs

Take this and toss it in a buttered frying pan!

Cook like you would normal french toast and then plate it up!

I took a can of crescent rolls and decided I wanted something different, formed it into a witch and a ghost and then baked as directed. Now I am not saying these came out perfect but they were cute!!

Next time I am sure the french toast will come out much better but for a first time try, I was pleased!!

Used an edible marker to make the faces on the crescent rolls!!!!! :)
